Atlantic Link lives up to its name

Atlantic Link has made the leap that its name suggests and started marketing its radical e-learning products in the USA. The marketing initiative started at the prestigious Training 2006 Conference in Orlando, Florida, where Atlantic Link hired a large booth and took the exhibition by storm.

"I think the Americans were genuinely surprised that it was a British firm that was introducing next generation authoring software at the conference" says CEO Tony Reddington

"they generally regard the UK e-learning technology market as lagging behind the US, so we surprised a lot of seasoned e-learning professionals with the radical features that our products offer."

Tony continues, "The exhibition was a bit different for us too in that our objectives in the US are to find appropriate partners to market the products on our behalf through licensing arrangements. Our aim was less to demonstrate the products to potential users than to make the right contacts with the big players in e-learning software in the US market. We have made good progress in that direction and can see we are pushing at an open door if we make the right partnerships."

Expansion into America follows the extraordinary success of Atlantic Link over the last couple of years, with growth rates in the UK of over 500% and new blue chip customers purchasing Atlantic's products every week. Operations Director Mike Alcock says, "There is still plenty of scope for us in the UK as companies are only just becoming aware of the benefits of server side 'remote authoring', but the opportunities for growth are enormous in America and while we are probably two years ahead of the competition in development terms we need to take full advantage of that lead to establish our products, while at the same time adding innovations and features to keep that two year advantage."
